Veterans' Day

Today's Veterans' Day in the UK and other places of the world. If you have been in the UK within the past 2-3 weeks or seen English news in that period, you will most like have seen people wearing a poppy, like the one in my photo (that's mine by the way).

Veterans' Day commemorates the fallen soldiers and civilians during time of war, and the poppy is the symbol that you support the veterans: the poppy's are lauched by Peace Pledge Union and cost....well as much as you want to donate to the cause, whether it be 20 pence or a few pounds.

World War I ended officially on November 11th, which why this date was chosen as Veteran's Day.
